The gating system refers to the feeding channel in the mold from the nozzle of the injection machine to the cavity. Its function is to make the melt evenly fill the cavity and effectively transmit the injection pressure to all parts of the cavity to obtain plastic parts with complete shape and good quality. Whether the design of the gating system is appropriate directly affects the appearance, physical properties, dimensional accuracy and forming cycle of the formed product.
1. The composition of the pouring system:
（1） Main channel: the feed channel connecting the nozzle of the injection machine with the runner or cavity (single cavity mold).
（2）Split runner: The runner between the main runner and the gate makes the molten material turn smoothly and evenly distribute it to each cavity (multi-cavity mold).
（3）Gate: The narrowest part between the runner and the cavity, which accelerates the flow rate of the melt, so that the cavity can be filled quickly, and at the same time, it can prevent excessive backflow, and the condensate and the plastic part are easy to separate after molding.
